Hello Netcong School Community,

As a reminder and stated in previous communication, all beginning of the year forms should be completed no later than today by a parent/guardian for each student via the Genesis Parent Portal.

Once all forms are completed, you will now be able to see your child’s assigned teacher(s) and schedule.

Middle School Students – Please Drop in Next Week:

Lock rentals, locker assignments and 2021-22 student schedules will be available on a drop-in basis on the following days and times:

• August 25, 2021 from 9:00 - 11:00 - 6th Grade Only
• August 27, 2021 from 9:00 - 12:00 - 7th & 8th Grade Only
• Each student will rent 2 locks. Rentals are $5.00 each. Please bring the exact change or a check. Only locks rented from the school may be used on lockers.

Important Upcoming Dates:

• Pre-K and K Orientation = Monday, August 30th 6pm
• Back to School Night: Middle School and Special Area Teachers = Wednesday, September 15th 6pm
• Back to School Night: PK-5th Grade = Thursday, September 16th 6pm
• School Closed = Monday, September 7th – Labor Day

Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! Please see the attached letter for pertinent information pertaining to this school year. As indicated in the letter, a parent/guardian must fill out and complete forms via the Genesis portal for each child. The district is looking to secure additional technology funding to further support our students. In order to apply for grant money, parents and/or guardians are required to complete a survey. As we approach the 2021-2022 school year, we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to ensure our students have a successful and smooth transition. We understand that students in the 6th and 7th grades have not used middle school lockers prior to this upcoming school year. Thus, we have allotted time in August for all middle school students to come in prior to the start of school to receive their schedules, get their locker assignments, and rent their locks. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Should you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Dilley or Mrs. Thompson in the main office. Additional information regarding the start of the school year pertaining to elementary and middle school students will be forthcoming within the next couple of weeks.
