Curriculum and Instruction
Netcong School is committed to helping students achieve their fullest potential.
The school's curriculum was updated and aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards at the August 23, 2016 Board of Education meeting and was implemented at the start of the 2016-2017 school year. To ensure that a high quality, challenging, and rigorous curriculum is delivered to our students, a comprehensive textbook replacement plan and curriculum rewriting schedule has been developed.
Seven areas of curriculum were recently updated to reflect the New Jersey Department of Education's 2020 standards in the areas of Visual and Performing Arts, Comprehensive Health and Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, World Languages, Computer Science & Design Thinking, and Career Readiness, Life Literacies & Key Skills. Information about the curriculum updates and additional information pertaining to the Comprehensive Health and PE standards can be found in the links below.
Instruction is designed to meet individual student needs while promoting a love of learning and instilling a responsible work ethic that leads to successful citizenship.
If you have any questions about the Netcong School District's curriculum, please contact Mrs. Jennie Rider at 973-347-0020 x106.
